nobody doesn't like sarah t.

so i have somehow, inadvertently, found myself nominated for a position on the board for an association that i am somewhat involved with.

the news was a shock to me, i can assure you.

my only issue is this. there's an election. and the last time i was in an election, i did not win. my childhood dream of becoming the first female president was dashed in the 6th grade.

i don't remember what i ran for. and i don't remember why i ran. but i definitely remember that i lost. despite all of my posters with the slogan, "nobody doesn't like sarah t."* it seemed that, in fact, quite a few people didn't like me.

so i fully expect to lose this time around as well. but , i'll be prepared. with a pint of ben & jerry's. and a giant pizza. topped with a burrito. and covered with hollandaise sauce. i think it's what hillary would recommend.

*stolen from the sara lee commercials. remember? nobody doesn't like sara lee?

  1. when you first told me about the election, I had this really satisfying image in my head of conducting a phone tree call down, a la Legally Blonde style. I pictured calling up all my friends and exclaiming "Vote for Sarah T!"

and then you dashed my hopes by saying everyone voting must be members of some law library association thingie majigger.

    (which i will join)
(if it means i can vote)
(in order for you to win)
(because i read the other candidates' bios)
(that ain't got shit on my tink)**

**no offense to all candidates running. i'm sure they read your blog. because you're the coolest person in the entire organization.
