weekends.

on the weekends i don't quite know what to do with myself. some weekends i make plans with friends. brunches and movies and walks in the city. but most weekends i spend alone. sitting on the couch. watching marathons of reality tv. reading the internet. and wondering why my phone doesn't ring. 

(obviously, my phone doesn't ring because i never call anyone. but let's not pay attention to silly details.)

saturday, i went for a walk. i sat in the park and read a book. i ate at one of my favorite cafes in astoria. and then i stopped by the grocery store for some brownie fixins in preparation for an evening of movies with the kitties. i fell asleep happy.

sunday, i had brunch in the city with rose and a group of girls for her birthday. eggs benedict. champagne. shoes. and lots of laughter. i spent the rest of the afternoon wandering through the city. and i have a feeling that tonight, i'll fall asleep happy.
