if there's one thing i've learned from living in astoria

it's the ability to recognize the greek flag.

my brother and i spent yesterday wandering through my neighborhood. burgers and streetfairs and thriftstores and bookstores and outdoor sculptures. it was lovely.

the nytimes not so long ago posted an article and slideshow about astoria. i'd recommend clicking through so you can see just how adorable my 'hood is.

also, if you're curious, we came up with a pretty awesome idea. i feel like it would be hilarious to stick plaques/stickers next to random objects all over the city that read "untitled. mixed media. dimensions variable. gift of the artist."

god. we're so clever. because really, sometimes the only thing that separates art from non-art is that little plaque identifying it as such.
