for the past couple of weeks, i have been giddy. GIDDY. about a new restaurant opening in astoria. like, its time to grab my chili cook-off boots because omg i am excited. the place serves mexican food + bbq. HELLO. its like god came to earth and said, sarah, what would you like to eat for the rest of your life? and my answer: a combination of mexican and bbq please.
long story short, food was overpriced and disappointing. and i thought i was going to die before the check even came. (may not have been the restaurants fault. but you know. full disclosure and all that. oh good lord i was dying. note to self: start carrying gas-x at all times)
but saturday cait and i more than made up for the disaster with a walk through the streets of a nyc food festival. lobster roll + pizza + yam something or other + pork tacos + shaved ice = bllllliiiiisssssss.
can i just say? i reallyreallyreally like to eat.
