the scariest movie we've seen together was the descent. about these girls. who explore a cave. filled with weird creepy blind creatures. who want to eat them! and oh, did i mention they are lost? in a dark cave?
we watched it on my laptop one night when gretchen was out of town. and got so scared that at one point, i screamed, slammed my laptop shut and ran out into the kitchen. we refused to return to the movie until we had spoken with victoria (who had recommended the movie) and she had reassured us that the blind man-eating creepy white guys were imaginary. i'm still not so sure.
the movie is on tv right now. and i'm watching it. alone. and already fucking terrified.
note to mandy: please see descent 2 with me when it is released. i'm going to need you to hold my hand the entire time. thanks.

ReplyDeletedid I tell you I watched silence of the lambs for the first time? alone. in the dark. I was a freakshow. I mean, the descent is terrifying because of weird half-human creatures eating women, but anthony hopkins? eating people? um, wtf.

ReplyDeletefrom what i understand, the last girl at the end actually survives and then goes back and tells everyone what happened. no one believes her (big surprise) so they send a rescue party back to find the other girls. and force the survivor to go with them.
and then i am assuming more people get eaten. yum.
