new sheets to celebrate.

are you ready for this? i'm writing a blog post about cleaning my room. i think i've hit an all time low.

i hate cleaning my bedroom. i'm pretty sure my maturity level has not progressed past the age of 13. frankly, i'm surprised i don't have a sign on the door of my bedroom saying "KEEP OUT" and walls filled with posters of jtt and new kids on the block.

the only time my bed ever gets made is when my parents come to visit and they sleep in my room. and my mom makes my bed for me afterwards. with my teddy bears arranged by height.

i'm not entirely sure what i keep in my closet because those doors have not been opened since i moved in.

and let's not even think about what's lurking under my bed.

BUT. this weekend. i took advantage of my roommatelessness. i dragged everything out from my closet. and under my bed. and under my desk. and the stuff that i shoved in that little space between my desk and radiator. not to mention the stuff just piled up in the middle of my floor.

and i stuck it in the empty bedroom.

holycrap, my room looks good. i even ran out to target to buy myself new sheets to celebrate. white with pale blue stripes. i almost bought pink sheets with little pink roses on them. they were so cute! but then i thought about how much mandy would make fun of me and put them back.

my next step? putting everything back in my room. i'm 98% sure i'm going to give up on this project and cram it all back under my bed and in the closet.

but at least i made an effort, right?
