before my labor day vacation, i had attempted to lose a little bit of weight by drinking slimfast for lunch. turns out, the slimfast diet just makes me even hungrier and i gained 5 lbs. oops.

and for whatever reason, those 5 lbs decided to latch on to my boobs. now, normally, as a girl, i shouldn't be complaining about this kind of thing. but mine are already big enough. i am perpetually trying to keep my blouses together with a plethora of precariously placed safety pins and a prayer. i'm also in a constant state of depression because all the fancy cute bras are never available in my size.

so before my vacation, i decided to just accept my inevitable obesity and buy some new bras in the next size up. which, at $30-40 bucks a pop, is a pretty significant investment.

i stopped by the gap one night on my way home from work. and for whatever reason, the store was only stocked with a's, b's, c's and nothing else. i guess fatties are no longer welcome at the gapbody.

i then stopped by victoria's secret. because if anyone should have a variety of bra sizes, it would be a store that specializes in bras. but nothing. i was doomed to either stuff myself into a 34D or let my boobs get lost in something like a 38DD. there was nothing in between.

so i gave up. went home empty-handed. and ate some candy to console myself.

but don't worry, this story has a happy ending! i've recently lost those 5 extra pounds and my boobs are no longer spilling out all over the place. i'm fairly certain this is the best thing to happen to me since i ordered hbo so i could watch trueblood.
