this morning i desperately wanted a dr pepper. like, more than i have ever wanted anything else in my entire life. i imagine this is what people feel like with drug addictions. i probably would have sold my cats for a can of dp. and not even a full size can. one of those teeny tiny new cans. have you seen them? they're ridiculous. it's like two sips. maybe three.
anyway.
i didnt have any dr pepper left in my fridge. and no cash. maybe some pennies and dimes. but not a single dollar bill to be seen anywhere.
and i was running late to work. as usual.
so i briefly considered my options. those little delis usually won't let you use a debit card for just a $1.50 purchase. and duane reade was in the opposite direction of my subway. unless i wanted to take the r to work. but really, who wants to take the r? it smells.
and the bank of america atm was even further away from my subway stop.
so i stopped at a chase atm. $3 charge from chase. $3 charge from bofa. crisp twenty in my hand.
i stopped at the deli next to the n/w with that creepy guy who calls me sweetie.
all in all, i spent $7.50 for an emergency bottle of dr pepper.
this, guys, is why i have bad credit and an embarrassing amount of debt.
this is awesome.
